Belly Shot

Here I am at 22 weeks. My belly is definitely bigger the second time around, thats for sure. Granted this picture was taken right after I ate lunch, so I was pretty full. Don't mind the vacuum in the background. Grace saw me vacuuming up ants the other week and now she is obsessed with finding ants and then sucking them up. So I usually just leave the vacuum out so it's easier access when she discovers an ant. She's really into "helping" me lately. So I figure this is harmless and fun for her to do.
I can't believe I'm over half way through my pregnancy. Time flies a lot faster when it's not your first child. I'm feeling good though, the only weird thing I get when I'm pregnant is, a bloody/stuffy nose ALL THE TIME! My nose is always so stuffed up, I sound so nasally, I hate it! Breathing out of your mouth is the worst too! And I must get at least 3 bloody noses a day. Sorry if that grosses anybody out. But if you came over to my house you would probably see my walking around with a tissue up my nose. I've become quite use to it. Even Grace will say, "nose beeding momma", it's so funny. I know it's a common thing for pregnant women to get, so I'm not worried. I just have to make sure I always have a tissue handy wherever I go. Does this happen to anyone else??

We're Having A......

We had our ultrasound today and found out we're having a BOY!!! We're very excited! Everything looked healthy, which was a great relief. He looked so cute on the monitor, kicking and moving everywhere. Now, the name battle begins. If it was a girl we would be set. Girl names are so much easier to decide on for us. Boy names are so hard! I don't like any of them. At least we still have a couple months to decide.
I'm a little sad that I won't be using Grace's cute clothes again, at least for a while. But it will be fun to go shopping for some cute boy stuff.
Poor little Grace is so confused about the baby. She thinks everyone has a baby in their tummy now, even daddy. It's so funny when I ask her where baby is and she points to Mark's stomach! ha!
But she does give my tummy lots of kisses. She is such a sweetheart and I don't doubt for a second that she'll be a great big sister. She is OBSESSED with her babies/dolls. She pushes them in the stroller around our house. She puts them to sleep in their crib, she holds them and pats their back and says, "sshhhh", she takes them down the slide with her, and pretty much everywhere we go. She even feeds them food and gives them a bottle. She cracks me up. I love this stage she's in. She's totally her own little person, and she just makes me laugh.
Well, we can't wait for our little boy to get here. We are truly blessed!

Build A Bear

So, we took Grace to "Build A Bear" on Saturday. She might have been just a tad too young to really get what was going on. I think I liked picking out the teddy bear's outfit way more than she did. Although she had fun watching the bears get stuffed and sewn up. And now she sleeps with her teddy every night, along with like 50 other stuffed animals. She's so funny. So I think it was a success!!!

A Funny Little Habit

These pictures uploaded in the wrong order, so scroll down first. For probably the last couple of months Grace has picked up a new little habit that helps her fall asleep for her nap time. She has a little blanket she sleeps with called her, "silky". She loves it! Well, everyday after I put her down for her nap I'll usually go in 10 or 15 min. later to see if she's fallen asleep yet and everyday I see her sitting in her crib with her silky on her head and she's just staring off in space. I always laugh so hard when I see her do this, I can't help it, it's so strange. But I know when she has her silky on her head it means she's about to conk over and fall asleep. It's the thing she always does right before she falls asleep. I tried to sneak up on her and take a picture but she caught me. I love this girl!
Now if you look closely at our headboard in the background you'll notice a a hole in it. That would be from Grace's tooth hitting it. Yep, she was jumping on the bed the other night and I was blocking one side and Mark was blocking the other side making sure she wouldn't jump right off the bed. Well, neither of us thought she would jump face first right into the head board. Her little face smashed so hard against it her tooth took a big chunk back out with her. Her lip was bleeding like crazy. I felt so bad! I thought for sure she would have a black tooth but so far so good. We gave her ice cream after so she would feel better and now she asks me for more everyday, bad idea!

A New Addition

We will be having a new addition join our family this summer. Yep, I'm PREGNANT!!! I'm just about 13 weeks pregnant and due July 25th. We could not be happier! Grace doesn't have a clue whats coming. Every time I point to my tummy and say, "baby" she points to her tummy and says, "baby", ha ha! Now we can't wait to find out what we're having. We'll keep you posted....

The Petting Zoo

A few weeks ago we took Grace to Thanksgiving Point to check out the petting zoo. She loved it! She is a brave little girl. She went right up to all the animals and touched them with no hesitation. My favorite was seeing her ride the pony. She looked like such a big girl. Every time she would come back around and see me she would get this big grin on her face like, "look what I could do mom". Aawww, my little girl is growing up! Then before we left Mark wanted to buy her this little stuffed animal pony, no big deal. Neither of us realized she would have to have it every where she goes. Even last night during her bath time the horsie had to sit right on the edge of the tub or Grace would freak out. I'm just glad it didn't fall in! Ha! She's giving her pony kisses below....
