Straight to the Top

Saturday my good buddy, Blaine, and I decided to hike to the top of one of the mountains behind our house. No trail. No map. We just set out with a goal in the mind. The hike/climb took us about two hours to get to the top, but the reward was worth the trip. We sat at the summit for about a half an hour and talked about how the ascent had been a metaphor for life while we took in the view. The way down only took about 20 minutes because were able to rockslide on the loose rocks.

Isn't this cute??

I just had to share some of the baby gifts I've received recently. The first one is from my crafty sister in-law, Natalie. She made me this huge diaper cake. I love it! I don't even want to take it apart because it's just so cute. So it's just sitting on our counter, probably until the baby comes! The flowers on the top of it are actually clips that you put on your baby's head band. Which I am very into right now. Maybe even a little obsessed! I can't help it. I just hope Grace has hair! The second picture is a quilt that a family friend made for us. It's so soft and I just love that it has her name on it! And last but certainly not least is this diaper bag that my friend Karla made me. Yes, she made this! She is so handy with a needle and thread! If you want you can check out her blog and see some other cool things she has made. She makes unique, hand-made gifts for bridal showers, baby showers, Mother's Day, birthdays... You name it, Karla can do it.

Final Stretch

I made it! I'm in the final stretch of my pregnancy. I thought I would just take one more picture of my belly before our little girl comes. I'm 36 weeks here. I can't believe how fast it's gone by. Pretty soon we'll actually have pictures of Grace on here. Pretty crazy! We can't wait!

Gearing Up For Baby

Check out our cool new baby gear! We got a stroller and matching bassinet/Pack n' play. Isn't it cute!? The Bassinet even has a changing table built on it which is very convenient for us right now being in such a small apartment. It's all the furniture you need in one. Although I must say I'm very excited to be moving into a bigger place In August and getting a real crib and real dresser. Mark and I even took our new stroller for a walk. We had to test it out! At first we did feel kinda silly walking around the neighborhood with an empty stroller, but we got over that fast! We just can't wait for our little girl to actually be in it! Not too much longer.... just a little over a month!

Early Mother's Day

When I came home yesterday I had the best surprise waiting for me. Mark got me an early Mother's Day present because I'm going out of town this weekend. He had two dozen pink roses, (which wouldn't fit in one vase, so I had to squeeze them into two). A spa package, which includes three hours of pregnancy massage! You don't have to use the three hours all at once, you can split them up. Also, two fold up sport chairs. Mark is starting his softball season and we didn't have any chairs to bring to the games. One of the chairs is a big baseball too, how appropriate. And the chairs are both red, so we can be representing Wisconsin wherever we bring them! And last but not least, he wrote me the sweetest note ever. Gosh, Am I a lucky girl or what? I have the cutest husband in the world. He's always thinking of me first. I couldn't imagine being with anyone else. I love you Mark!

Blogging Frenzy!

This is the most I've ever blogged! What can I say, I'm on a roll! Here are some pictures of my belly. It sure is getting big. It's hard for me to even imagine getting bigger than this, but I know I will! I'm 29 weeks here and I can feel little Grace moving all the time. Even Mark can feel and see her move too, just the other day we could both feel where her leg was. Every time we would push on it she would move around! I have a feeling that I'm going to really miss being pregnant. I love having our baby with me all the time and feeling her move is the coolest thing. But we're both really excited for her to come.

Hockey, hockey, hockey

Mark had his last hockey game of the season on Wednesday night. They played one of the hardest (and dirtiest) teams in their league, and they were still able to beat them 6 - 3. Mark had 3 assists, but no goals unfortunately. The game was really exciting, and as usual I had my hot chocolate from 7-Eleven. They have the best hot chocolate there, I love it! Mark is a great hockey player. I think growing up in Wisconsin definitely paid off!
P.S. I forgot to bring my camera to the game, so I made Mark put his gear back on at home so i could take a picture of him. Isn't he cute?! (And smelly)!
